M8 if you're dying to the early parts and fucking Lace 1 (a boss so easy you should be doing it no damage), then you're going to get destroyed later on.
My first steel soul death while trying to get the achievement + speedrunner was in shellwood to some retarded mistake, then the mist to the ghosts, then trobbio, and trobbio again, and that's it. Doing trobbio with minimal upgrades was tough.
Also just lure the ant guard to the tunnel entrance, he can't jump there. It's that easy. And in the arena fight that follows just let shakra do most of the work while dodging the ants, that fight is a visual mess and almost got me killed.
If you're doing hunter's march be sure to at least buy the mask tool, its really useful in steel soul. Otherwise you might as well do the easier path through the docks to get to the dash.
