there is no rewards to it, no meaning behind it, the town doesn't act as a towerbuilding game, it is literally the most boring part of the game
IMO, the only game with good townbuilding is suikoden 2, at least when NPCs get recruited, every single one of them come with a minigame, and is a playable character
