The sequel's town building is a bit more in depth

I kinda get what you're saying, DC2's town building is missing that fillable storybook charm to the townbuilding but I also like the more in depth one of the sequel, I think I have the perfect solution to this problem
>Go into dungeon
>Find the Geosphere with the items
>You get a house that you need to fill with specific items and NPCs you still have to find
>Get everything you need
>Fill the "storybook" to complete the House
>You've now unlocked the option to build multiple Houses for less important NPCs
>You've also unlocked the option to build the other related items you've found if you wish to place them around the city
>But for these extra things you'll need to grind for materials in the dungeons
