The thing about the second option is that it's really a necessity for the first issue. It's part of what baffles me about DC2, the game is layered in mechanics that all feed into this grinding mindset. You grind one mechanic so that it feeds into the next layer of grinding which feeds into the next layer of grinding. On paper I like DC2's weapon upgrade trees but they are designed on the idea of grinding for them and you're bound to game the system like using a different character for the killing blow and then switching to the other one. Does anyone, even people who like grinding, do it legitimately or do they also use this trick?
