For another the revive item isn't fucking caffeine, it's a feather from a bird known for rising from ASHES (IE dead). Furthermore, literal DEATH is a status effect, spell, and/or materia all throughout the series. Beyond that, the stuff that """knocks out""" characters in battle is far more fatal (like machine gun fire) than the stuff that kills them in cutscenes (one widdle stab wound). FF7 is dogshit and Aerith's death is phenomenally retarded, come to terms with it.
