You need a lot of people and it's easier to make something normal to get a lot of people that might be interested in erp then it is to get a lot of erp interested people. it's easier to inject an erp scene than it is to make an erp scene
>Limits
I unironically think the limits on the tech make it more interesting to ERPers. Limits breeding creativity or having their imagination do some of the work rather than having an animation purposely built.

No single dev can compare to dozens of autistic horney modders. Skyrim, ff15, vrchat's erp scene is supported by mods.
Note, I am speaking out of my ass and am not involved in the erp scene at all.
