Actually Red Dead Redemption is most heavily based on The Proposition, it's quite similar in tone and plot. While there's some Unforgiven in there undoubtedly, it has a wider range of Westerns influencing it than just "the most famous one in pop culture". The Wild Bunch for instance. In general it's pretty steeped in revisionist Westerns and their common themes, Unforgiven happens to be one of the most prominent and famous examples. Even the time period of the game is more intentional in being the 1900s, amidst the shift to modernity, which is clearly spelled out to the player through gameplay with the first act/"island"/chapter being classic wild west tropes with saloons and ranches transitioning to the shock of seeing cars and tarmac streets in Blackwater in the third act/chapter, after Mexico homaged spaghetti Westerns in-between.

In short RDR was vastly more engrossed in Western cinema history than Intergalactic looks to be engrossed in 80s and 90s anime, which seems to just be cribbing some aesthetics from two extremely famous animes but nothing further. Which is the point I assume anon was making. Taking a ship design from Cowboy Bebop is not exactly taking real influence from Cowboy Bebop as a story, it's just kinda shallow thieving.
