On windows you can easily select the device you want to output from, regardless of what's plugged in from the audio panel.
Also when you're Steam streaming on Linux it's so retarded that will output audio from both the speakers and the TV and you will have to manually mute whichever source you don't want audio from. On windows you just select which one you want from the audio panel again.
And don't get me started on managing audio sinks and pipes on Linux .
