I'd separate MoP from WoD for a big reason: It was the time that they squished down the original numbers of every class and item because it was getting out of hand at late MoP (Tanks were reaching 1 mil HP)
WoD also introduced the new player models, garrisons (Confining players by force to an isolated area) and jumpstarted the horrendous meta of overcomplicated raid fights (Archimonde being the biggest offender)
