Tenna is essentially what people remember about Spamton taken to 11 and people think they're similar because they're comparing meme spamton degenerated over 4 years vs Tenna. The obvious similarity is their usage of <random words!> except while we have to imagine Spamton's saying them differently, Tenna outright does and also has effects.
Though if you replay 2 followed by 3 you realise just how small a role spamton had and also that really there isn't much overlap between the two personality wise.
