Kinda hard to discuss anything relating to him given how big of a spoiler it is really. Another week and people will probably be willing to, after that its whoever's fault for not playing the game.
Outside of that, I doubt it.
Adam's fine as a character, hell its his plan that Mother Sphere was betting on but she seems to have expected the evolutionary jump to have been bigger.
