Not always. Plenty of Inquisitors don’t give a fuck about secrecy or operating in silence. Tyrus is probably the biggest example. I imagine in Grendyl’s case it’s simply a case of having his forces stretched too thin and being cut off from the rest of the Imperium and not wanting to make a big scene as a result, how he operates normally could be different. Also I always felt they had more in common with the NKVD if anything.

Ehh, we already have confirmation that he has more people in his crew, whatever else he’s off doing is probably more pressing than the stuff he left Rannick and Zola to deal with, he may even be off in some other hive of Tertium personally messing things up with his subordinates.
