The one thing I really miss about 1 and 2 is how playing Archaon was an endgame tide with no backup that had the world against him shitting out corruption. You visibly left ruin in your wake.
In warhammer 3 chorfs beat the shit out of kislev most of the time and the empire is in shambles to chaos before they added elspeth. Plus the corruption looks less evil and you have norscans everywhere.
