You have to just accept that you're going to lose the first few runs, and experiment until you find these answers. Like, yeah you need to rush around to win, but who cares, YOU need to figure out how the smithing stones work, so waste as much time as you need to and figure it out, and then you know, and who cares if you lost you probably would have lost from not knowing anything anyways. How do people know which enemies to kill? Take some time, kill the ones they're skipping, look at what you got from it, and then you'll see when they're skipped. You're focused on the end goal, you need to focus on your next step.
