And it was almost a loss, Rannick's whole issue with Orthus was that he could tell within seconds that the shit was a trap and if the strike team were to die then Wolfer would use it to bolster morale among the Moebian 6th but also to turn more of the populace into traitors.
Which could have undermined weeks if not months of demoralization work that both Rannick and Grendyl had been done against at that point.
