Given how he still believed in Takumi's time traveling stuff even after abstaining from telling the others I think that he'd at least TRY to be "nicer" (Read: Not kill anyone from the team or try switching sides) if he knew the full truth from the get-go. I don't think he'd blind himself again but I wouldn't be against it either. It'd just make it easier for him to get over his grievances.
