my friends and I play mp campaigns together. you cant set different campaign difficuly from the host but the battle difficulty is determined by the person battling. I.E if you have yours set to VH but your friend has it set to normal, in battles you start the enemy units will get the stat buffs but in battles started by him they wont. Im unsure what happens if he reinforces you tho.
