I've never played any Falcom game. It's still very niche in the West, therefore I'm rarely exposed to any of it and for that reason I know next to nothing about that franchise. However I'm tempted to give it a try but since I'm rather someone who prefers to play the games in chronological release order, I don't even know where to start with all those games out.
