modern military equipment is already enough to deal with monsters. rance's setting is actually quite weak, he's the strongest human and his strongest attack is like a dozen kilos of tnt. basically depends on ammo and how many monsters. but i think they'd deal with anything except bosses like dragons since they defeat huge robots and crazy things like that.

ghosts are probably a bad matchup though.
