I know BO4 had some uhhh... controversial features but to this day the core shooting experience of BO4 hasn't been topped. They just needed to nerf some of the obnoxious cheese setups and let you get the new guns without lootboxes. We can rip on its cartoony artstyle all we want, but every COD game since has had massive enemy visibility problems. Covering everybody in lite brites wasn't an elegant solution, but it worked.
