It's probably a tough challenge. I imagine they're pretty much stumped on issues like performance, where the ideal outcome would be grabbing an outside contractor like Durante to fix whatever programming issues that make this game such an unoptimized mess.
Steve and Lagi took balancing in the right direction and the game finally has hunts that feel like proper monhun, so I'm hopeful that the new quest difficulty level in TU3 might elevate the rest of the roster to this state too. With focus mode they hurt skill expression and the need for positioning to such a degree that solving this particular issue just leaves me baffled, there might be some way to improve things but I can only hope they'll drop this mechanic in future sequels.
