There's one very valid criticism for ADSing - the FOV.
>keep FOV at default
>works very well in third person
>lets you snipe weakpoints in first person
>BUT you can't use first person all the time because you're staring down a keyhole even with non-magnifying optics

>first person feels okay-ish to use on the regular

The real solution is what Arma did.
>tap RMB
>toggle aiming mode
>tap another button (e.g. MMB)
>toggle between first and third person
>hold RMB (regardless of aiming mode)
>camera zooms in as long as you're holding it, unzooms when you let go
Now you have the best of both worlds one key hold away.
