it would be cool but queue times make this impossible. very quickly you'd see what happens in wow where a small amount of faction imbalance snowballs very quickly and within weeks there's only 1 populated faction
in open world games where you gain a benefit from having 2 factions in terms of immersion and fun its fine to split your playerbase (though raidtrannies still endlessly complain), but in a game like overwatch it just doesn't make any sense. you're getting no benefit at all and before long it would be an obsolete feature.
