Sovi-shits like to throw up manpower numbers while conveniently leaving out what it takes to feed and transport them. They could move men and material across land, largely by established railways. And yes, naturally they could steamroll an already defeated japan directly bordering them, but they had no landing or shipping capabilities in the pacific. How do you think you're going to utilize 6 million gorillas in an island assault with no sea lift? US ships? Why the fuck would we have supplied them, then, if our concern was soviet incursion?
