Confusing hyper-fixation with quality by proxy. I'm an autist with my own hang-ups, it took me years to understand you can like more than one thing, and that not liking something doesn't mean the same thing as "it's shit." From my own experiences and encountering a few other autists, I believe high functioning autists are at least 10-years behind their normal peers, and everybody beneath that has borderline zero chance of escaping mental infancy. And even then, when it comes to high functioning autism, it's a sink or swim scenario where some manage to get some control of their life and act kinda normal, while others end up stuck as stereotypical adult-children.
