We don’t know if it applies to Genshin and zzz but when Shaoji did the interview with Nasu before HSR’s fate collab he literally said they just do what they think will be popular. Alternatively maybe the zzz devs just prefer designing and animating women, that’s basically the reason behind why random girls doing x anime will have tons of sakuga sequences while stuff like berserk can’t get a good anime, the animators just would rather do the cute girls anime
