desu you needed entire an entire squad to get in the pods to actually start mission in hd1 too, except hd1 you could choose drop point without getting in, also the bridge was smaller so you could upgrade your weapons and stratagems and it took you 5 sec to get in the pod, hd2 is awful in the bridge department and the fact that the only comfortable way to change your weapon mods is to stay out of the hellpod
