i dunno but they have to do something to freshen it up because its not working anymore
i think after kai 2 the series should take a break for a few years and they should really put some serious thought into refreshing the series so that they can deliver a final arc that feels like the 20+ years they spent building it up will actually pay off into something memorable that made it feel worth it
kondo seems to realize that if they fuck up the ending then no one will ever give this series a second thought ever again so i hope he truly takes that to heart
