I usually play windowed because fullscreen is rougher on my eyes, with compositor off would that stop any problem with windowed mode?

I have a nvidia 1070 and I heard wayland has problems with nvidia. I don’t know much about it though, I just switched to linux a few days ago, on cinnamon right now but considering switching to xfce.
