this. trying to be a "real game" with gacha cancer lodged inside the core of your game is a lost cause. the luck, p2w and stat grinding elements just undermine it.
i liked ZZZ a lot at first but it became incredibly tedious after a couple months, it tries to be a fast paced action game but i don't care about putting that kind of energy into video games on a daily/weekly basis, and the more characters you pull the more braindead the gameplay gets so you're kinda working to make playing the game less annoying (but also worse)??? i always feel conflicted when playing games like these
at least BA had the right idea by being a visual novel first while the gameplay is short and nonintrusive. 2-4 minutes is a very nice length for vidya levels in general. also every GaaS needs a fucking sweep feature
