The story really went off the rails in a mostly bad way for the second half, Paradeus were horribly utilised after their initial introduction. I think the absolute final nail in the coffin was canonising a multiverse in Cartesian Theater.
Also SV being deleted from existence is an unforgivable sin, they had the best designs by far.
