I think he's talking from a ranking perspective. In normal play 5-7 was maybe kind of important back when we had a much smaller roster but by the time Python and P22 were added as limited drops there were more than enough alternatives for normal gameplay unless you were minmaxing for ranking (or later on some particular UX maps but they're a bonus difficulty). Source: I had to hunt the fucking snake twelve times.
