Kill em
Early on you either avoid them, or slowly pull small amounts of them at a time to slowly clear them whole group.
Once you get better combat skills, you could just hold tab on a window and easily clear it so long as you watch your stamina.
A spear + climbing onto a roof will let you clear it, just have a gun ready to kill any potential ranged enemies or grabbers.
Molotov, Grenades and pipebombs will easily do the job.
Day time raiding is better because you can see dangerous enemies from far away and choose to go somewhere else, Night time raiding means you wont know if you ran into something dangerous till its in your face.
