A 5080 is going to be perfectly fine for gaming for many years if you settle for 1440p at 144hz. I've been using a 3080 for this since it came out and it is still nowhere near needing to be replaced. If you want to do 4k gaming, it's kind of pointless as there is really not that much increased visual clarity going from 1440p to 4k. Not enough to make it worth it imo. Idk what's coming in 2026 but I doubt it is going to matter that much
