The idea that legacy players were "voted off" is nonsense because the poll structure forces rotation. If two new meme picks get voted in, then by default two existing players get removed. This happens regardless of whether anyone wanted those players gone. That's overflow. Once a player is rotated out, they are gone unless you manually bring them back which no manager has done until a new meme is relevant again, see Currymaru.
Since legacy players are grouped into one vague option, they are blocked from future polls. Calling that voted off is misleading. It is forced removal. This system causes constant change based on FOTM meme rather than real preference. If you want poll results to count for real, then the poll must be designed to show retention and replacement separately. Otherwise, it is just a popularity contest with no memory. You will end up rotating players out based on who gets meme votes each time.
I guarantee you that if you actually just copied and pasted the pastebin as is and gave people the full list to choose from, then the results are going to be wildly different.

Suggesting a meme is not the same as calling out bullshit
