I will never stop repeating how stupid that story is. It doesn't change the fact she lost her comrades. The LOSS is the largest trauma contributor. It doesn't remove self blame that she was weak and couldn't prevent that. And it doesn't even change the fact she was the one who pulled that trigger. "But at least they died as humans" is such a weak cope only gook writers could come up. Their bodies were not recovered anyway.
Also, I would argue that killing alive people one-by-one while they silently watch at you is way more traumatic. And the icing on the cake is that there's 0.01% probability that it didn't even happen, and her comrades did die as monsters. A thought that will definitely visit Renoa at least once before going to sleep.
