I think Susie is supposed to be our actual POV character which is why the story can get so "Susie centric". Susie is left in the dark about pretty much everything while Kris and Ralsei intentionally withhold information from her. We spend the beginning of the game alone with Kris but after meeting Susie, pretty much the rest of what we see is when Susie is with Kris and the game timeskips when she's not around. Besides the final prophecy we know as much as she does. It's a stretch but you could even say Susie reacts most accurately to how a typical player would react.
I don't think this means anything, I just think it's interesting how our perspective is intrinsically tied to Susie's. Actually, it might mean something, Susie might be the vessel.
