most guns and every unique/smart weapon are just not viable even on normal. Weapon dispersion is also so bad you won't even see a SMG or assault rifle until the late 2nd or 3rd planet. A machinegun you can get minutes after the (hour long) tutorial by climbing a roof is the one copy of the highest damage output gun you'll find all game other than the same gun but legendary being carried by the first worlds boss. It does more damage than any weapon you'll ever find for your build because there is one [gun] stat that increases damage for every single type of firearm in the whole game, assuring most weapons are just flat worse and can't be improved to match something you don't want to use but have to Stealth is in the bad place of fake reactivity, enemies instantly knowing they're being attacked even with silencers and the noise reduction perk when like 2 of their 7 die outside of visual range. Companions also run the 90 yards between you and the guys you're sniping at random just to die instantly because armor is likely bugged

companion damage is like 50dps as you fight enemies like hammer guys, mechs and named characters with 2000-5000 health and super armor. They also are downed instantly regardless of investment
>bullet sponge enemies that also shoot you to death

the damage mitigation and armor system is just broken, no matter what you wear it's ~4-6 shots and you're dead on normal from most things as you double jump and try to put a collision box between you and the enemy. AI sucks so they don't shoot you often/use slow firing trash guns(in your hands) as a hedge but there is also no corner lean or cover system so you have to stand in the open.
