The lore already implies a time loop though. Protoframes are at once the first and the last warframes to be created. Example: Entrati travels back into 1999 and uses the Excalibur strain (which he got from Ballas) to infect Arthur with the excuse of curing techrot. Centuries/millenia later Ballas creates the first Warframes by using the rediscovered helminth strains that in 1999 were used to create protoframes. Then Entrati gets his hands on the strains, travels back into 1999 and uses them to create protoframes, whose strains will be used millenia later by Ballas to create the warframes... etc. etc.
