Yeah the challenges are retarded but the actual spec ops class role is kind of a meme. It's not super impactful and there's no equipment locked to it. The Sniper path may even be better for that kind of playstyle because of the improved spotting. Nothing is stopping you from using a suppressed SMG with C4 and the sensor grenade
