Kodaka doesn't hate V3. V3 was extremely unpopular in Japan because of the ending and Japanese fans sent him a lot of death threats over it. He's talked about it a few times and even makes jokes about it. He never made a spinoff or anything because of that, but he still posts about it fondly on social media, even writing in-character tweets and stuff like that. Also, even he did hate it, it doesn't really matter because he no longer works at Spike Chunsoft and they just have him sign off on stuff they make, like 2x2 and the summer camp game.
