I think in Flins/Nefer teams SMS is used mostly due to the lack of alternatives. Outside of the shred pieces on one character (VV or Deepwood) you're kind of left with choosing either the stat buffing sets (Noblesse/TOM/SMS/Memestructor) or going for personal damage on whoever the two remaining characters are
