I did the same and it's kind of a double cost since you have to farm the marshmallows for the skill ups, then you have to farm the gold because the cost from 7 to 12 is incredibly high, not even millions will save you if you try to level up too many skills to max. The board is also pricey, but having the crayons ready to go would be nice since you don't have to spend them all immediately.
