thank you for the effortpost anon, that's really enlightening. I would simply say that it's downright miraculous that the core gameplay element is enjoyable enough that I could either be unaware of, or partially ignore, most of these (egregious) flaws. I doubt we'll ever get a new insurgency game that does justice to what should've been, but one can hope, and I'll still love this current game for what it is nonetheless.
