Nobody "asked" for it, the entirety of the game's balancing concerns come from watching the biggest youtubers exploit gaping, simple holes in design (like reconnecting to servers to rewatch VHS tapes, jogging through hordes and grinding maintenance XP by fast forwarding through hitting garage doors from inside a car) and reactively nerfing it.
