My biggest issue with Hell Let Loose when I still played it, and maybe it's been helped with at least the new desert maps, was that the game was basically solved strategically. If <X> was your objective there was really only 1-3 places to put your outpost/garrison and everybody knew them. So people would either just sit in the appropriate vantage point to farm kills or zerg rush in to destroy them. Going for flanks or attacking behind the lines was basically pointless because nobody ever used supplies other than on the dedicated defensive mode. A good artillery crew is oppressive but semi-easily countered by a sniper camping the main base, but then that just makes the game ass for both of those people.
