Oh, I was >>2010928 and talking about the private server. Public lobbies are a whole another deal, you're right about them being impossible to play in:
If you're not playing as a distractor or endgame toon, they might avoid you. And if you're playing a starter character so Boxten, Poppy and sometimes Toodles, they'll for sure avoid you.
At least on the private server, even the pissiest of pissbenchers will make an exception and play with a newfag
