It's funny how people used to say things like "The internet is forever" and "You can't delete anything off of the internet". Most of these live service games are dogshit, but I still think it's sad that they are gone and pretty much never coming back. Every one probably had its die hard fans that will never ever be able to experience that game ever again. Now we're reliant on the unpaid autism of a few individuals to recover what's lost, if it's even possible in some cases.
The one I find most bizarre is FFXIV. The original version was pretty much a broken mess, but a mainline release of one of the most popular video game series of all time is all but lost to time. How the fuck has that happened?
