Ok now let's talk skill blocking. let's inherit two skills onto that grid that will prevent bad RNG when we are skill training. the grid now looks like this. you can't learn skills you already have.

I have marked 2 and 6 as the two skills you are guaranteed to receive through this trick. You can also do it on the side with Magic Lance. This has two upsides:
1. it guarantees a buff skill so you can level it later (if it's lv4-5)
2. it turns obtaining Magic Lance/Raging Blow into a 50/50. If you do this raw it's like 10% tops you get this fucking skill. Holy shit. It is so fucking bad. My balls hurt. Anyways, you can also do this to make getting MP Gain (it's on the bottom) easier. Now get these both maxxed at 10 because once a skill is inherited it DOES NOT LEVEL UP EVER. Fuse early and you just bricked yourself for a good few weeks. Do not do this.
Ok now you have the skills let's talk natures and how fusing works. Strap the fuck in because I'm not here to fuck around and neither are you if you're picking this life.

Go back to the Coryn link I just gave you and go to Pet Properties until you find the red and green Nature chart. For supports, Timid and Gentle, that's it. Fucking done. There are no alternatives unless you're crazy (Justice).
For attackers, basic people like Sturdy Justice Steady Sly. Steady disables crits (so dont use it on Phys) but dodges a lot of shit in exchange, so take it for mages. If not that, take STURDY or INTELLIGENT for mage pets. For bowmen, it's Sturdy, Sly, Justice as the basic options. Agile, Calm, Enthusiastic are also decent picks. For tanks, in my next comment, cont-
