Been playing solo and loving it.
>if you squint it's a mgs extraction shooter
>every match turns into a clusterfuck at extract
>1/4 players want to team up, granted it's a no progress beta but the game wants it happening with emotes and too much loot to go around
>matches only take ~10 minutes
>ai is an actual threat requiring strategy and often times more dangerous than players
>audio is almost hunt level
Agreed loot is a headache but I never liked looting in these games. Hunt Showdown's the only one that grabbed me. But I love how dynamic the genre can be, unlike every other shooter that's never more complex than "see target, shoot target, repeat." Here I've got stories to tell in just 3 hours.
>getting chased by a rocket drone only to be gunned down by an extract sniper who then takes aggro, dies, and I force extract while downed talking shit
>running from a big jumping spider and finding a hiding guy who also didn't know what the fuck it was and we snuck an extract together
>absolute slaughterfest in the swamp red zone as 5-6 solos keep pouring in, bringing drones and it being impossible to loot without dying
>me and 2 rats ghosting each other at the swamp extract, gunning them both down in a frantic gunfight, allowing them to leave with me and we all apologize but the extract is cut short and one gets trapped outside yelling a muffled NOOOOO that gets quieter as the elevator sinks
